Marilu Lopez

Marilu received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from La Sierra University, Riverside. She plans to pursue a Master's degree in counseling and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. She has always been interested in working with children; she aspires to be a positive role model for them. She is particularly interested in autism because it is an area that is growing. One of Marilu's biggest motivators is knowledge and the ability to acquire it.

During her college career, Marilu participated in service-learning on behalf of her university. During these times she worked with school-aged children in their school environment. She really enjoyed those moments and learned a lot about how a child's environment affects them. Marilu also did extensive research with her professors. She conducted a research project that focused on Extensivity and Narcissism Predicting Self-Aggrandizing Behaviors on Social Media. She is currently working on another research project on prediction and perception.
Marilu has training and experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and is excited and looking forward to exploring this field even further. She has always had an interest in behavioral therapy.
During her free time she enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews, eating ice cream, watching movies, and going to Disneyland.
